Too close for comfort (part 2)

The Boston Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves are making sure there is still some drama left before the end of the regular season.

The Red Sox are hanging on to a half game lead in the Al Wild Card and the Braves only have a one game lead in the NL Wild Card standings. While the Sox and the Braves are playing terribly, the teams chasing them are playing exceptional baseball. The Tampa Bay Rays and the St.Louis Cardinals can smell the post season and they are playing with passion and drive to make it happen. The Red Sox are playing like they played at the beginning of the year when they lost their first eight or nine games. The Braves pitching staff if laboring and the offense is anemic.

There are three gamesĀ  remaining in the regular season and the fate of these four teams hangs in the balance. I could care less what happens in the American League so please wake me up on Thursday morning and tell me that everything is okay and the Braves are set to play the Brewers on Saturday.
